Tanium Weekly Release Update - October 17th, 2017

Tanium Detect 3.0.4

Tanium is announcing the general availability of our next generation detection solution, Detect 3.0.  Detect 3.0 introduces a new architecture and approach to identify compromised endpoints.  New features include endpoint alerting, throttled (CPU and IO) scanning, and real time monitoring through Signals.

Detect 3.0 is available to all existing IOC Detect customers.  Both Detect 3.0 and IOC Detect 2.5 will be available from the Solutions page for a period of time to facilitate customer transitions.

As Detect 3.0 is a significant change from previous IOC Detect releases, we recommend that customers deploy to a lab environment initially and proceed to production endpoints in a staged rollout to ensure that they confidently understand performance characteristics in their own environment.

For a full list of changes, please refer to the 3.0.4 Release Notes and the Detect 3.0 User Guide.

Tanium Trace 2.1.0

Tanium has released an update to Trace to add support for Detect 3.0 Signals, DNS request and response history for later versions of Windows, and to address miscellaneous bug fixes.

For a full list of changes, please refer to the 2.1.0 Release Notes.
